All Academic Institutions which want accreditation can first contact CILG Ghana on info@cilgghana.org to inform CILG Ghana of its intention to acquire accreditation.
Accreditation may be requested for:
- CILG International Professional Programmes – which concerns the accreditation of the Institution’s facilities, academic and faculty resources.
- Programme Accreditation – which concerns accreditation for Institution’s own academic programmes in the area of logistics, supply chain, transportation, maritime, aviation, etc.
Such accreditation helps students who enrol on such programmes to gain automatic exemptions for specific levels of CILG International Programmes and/or be admitted to a particular membership grade.
Accreditation to Offer CILG International Programmes:
- Formal request to CILG for Accreditation through CILG Ghana
- CILG Ghana Issues Accreditation Guidelines Forms to prospective training provider
- CILG Ghana visit facilities of prospective training provider for preliminary inspection
- Preliminary assessment report for issued to CILG International for formal International accreditation
- Conduct of Inspection by International assessors for accreditation
- International Accreditation Report issued to Secretary General, CILG International for review by International Education Standards Committee
- Accreditation granted or refused (where it is refused, training provider is advised to improve the weaknesses identified for further consideration
- Payment of accreditation fees by training provider
- Accreditation Certificate issued for an initial period of normally three years
Accreditation of Own Institution’s Programmes:
- Formal request to CILG through CILG Ghana for Accreditation of own programmes
- CILG Ghana Issues Accreditation Guidelines Forms to prospective institutions
- Provision of copies of course curriculum, lecturers CVs, etc for study
- CILG Ghana visit facilities of institution for preliminary inspection
- Preliminary assessment report issued to CILG International for formal International accreditation
- Conduct of Inspection and interview by International assessors for accreditation
- International Accreditation Report issued to Executive Secretary, CILG International for review by International Education Standards Committee
- Accreditation granted or refused (where it is refused, training provider is advised to improve programme curriculum, etc, identified for further consideration)
- Payment of accreditation fees by training provider
- Accreditation Certificate issued for an initial period of normally three years
